Direct Cremation

Direct cremations are becoming more popular as many families choose other ways to remember a loved one. A direct cremation is typically known as a cremation without a service where the funeral director chooses the time and location of the cremation. In many of these cases familes are not permitted to attend.

Brent has two additional options of a direct cremation at Hendon Cemetery before 10am where familes may also attend and have 15 minutes in the chapel before the commital. Familes can organise their one small service if they wish. To keep the costs to a minimum transport is normally by private ambulance for this type of service.

As there are no crematoriums in Brent's area we offer an additional option of a service in the Chapel at Alperton then after a direct cremation where familes do not attend. This is helpful for residents that may find travelling to another area for a cremation service difficult and or may just require something local.
